What is Peterborough Sands?

Peterborough Sands is a branch of the national Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Charity (Sands).  We are bereaved parents who use our sad experience to help others by offering support, advice and a space to talk about your loss.

We understand the shock, devastation, sadness, isolation and guilt that can follow after your baby dies and are able to offer support either by one to one befriending or in our support group.  If your baby was miscarried, stillborn, or died after birth and whether it happened very recently or a long time ago, we are able to offer you support and information.

Mothers and fathers are welcome to contact us and our doors are open to anyone else struggling to come to terms with the death of a baby whether it's grandparents, aunties, uncles, siblings, friends or health professionals.

You may not want anything from us right away. We are here to help whenever you feel you need it. That may be now or in a few weeks months or even years.
